Our Arabic Alphabet Workbook series takes children from their first Arabic letter to reading simple words. There are two paperback workbooks. Both cover all 28 letters with three pages per letter, and both have English help on every page, so parents can guide their child even if their own Arabic is basic.

Level 1: color, trace and read
- For ages 4 to 8, and for adult beginners
- Three pages for every letter: color the big letter and its picture, trace the letter by following the arrows, then read and trace three words with their vowel marks
- A review page after every three letters
- A first look at the short vowels, two pages on joining letters, and a certificate at the end
- 102 pages, 8.5 x 11 in

Level 2: short vowels, letter forms and picture words
- For ages 5 to 9, and for adult beginners
- Short vowels: write each letter with fatha, kasra and damma
- Picture hunt: color only the pictures whose names start with the letter, with the names in Arabic and English
- Letter forms: the letter at the beginning, middle and end of a word, with a picture word to trace
- A review page after every three letters, two pages on joining letters into words, and a certificate of completion
- 100 pages, 8.5 x 11 in. Works on its own or after Level 1

Which level should we start with?
Start with Level 1 if your child is meeting the Arabic letters for the first time. Coloring and tracing build the shapes and sounds step by step.
Go to Level 2 when your child recognizes most letters and is ready for vowel marks, letter shapes inside words and first reading. It also works as the next book straight after Level 1.
